JH Contracting is a locally owned and family-operated general contracting company proudly serving Wilmington, Hockessin, Greenville, Middletown, Newark, Bear, Townsend, and surrounding Delaware communities, as well as Avondale, Garnet Valley, Kennett Square, and Landenberg, PA since 2009.

Founded by Delaware native Joe Harrington, a University of Delaware graduate and former DeWalt/Black & Decker professional, JH Contracting was built on a lifelong passion for woodworking, craftsmanship, and quality home improvement.

Joe personally runs the company and is the first person clients meet during the initial estimate and project planning phase. From start to finish, you work directly with the owner and his trusted project management team — ensuring clear communication, accountability, and attention to detail.

Unlike many contractors, JH Contracting relies primarily on skilled in-house employees, with minimal subcontracting. This allows us to maintain consistent quality control, reliability, and workmanship on every project.
